This Technical Bulletin is intended to support and requests to carry out an internal inspection of flat bottom tanks. The industrial gases industry does not carry out periodic internal inspection of bulk cryogenic storage tanks.

This Technical Bulletin is intended to provide guidance on the installation of pressure safety devices and on measures to protect the operating mechanism of the pressure safety valve from external contamination. It is intended for all EIGA Members who operate transportable and static cryogenic vessels.

EIGA believes that action at Community level is the only possible way to harmonise the periodic inspection regimes of cryogenic vessels, their mutual recognition by the member states, repeated putting into service and repeated use aspects. EIGA also believes that the possibility of reassessing existing national static cryogenic vessels should be given such as is allowed for transportable pressure equipment, including gas cylinders and transportable cryogenic pressure vessels.

The purpose of this Technical Bulletin is to provide guidance to members on how to maintain these hoses in a safe condition. The Technical Bulletin is intended for all personnel who are involved in the operation and maintenance of cryogenic transfer hoses.

There are a number of recommendations including performing a risk analysis that particularly takes into account the risk of gas leakage from a pressure receptacle during transport and/or parking. Whenever possible, it is also recommended to have openings in the front face and the rear face of the curtain sided enclosure and to unload the receptacles as soon as practical once the journey is ended. This Technical Bulletin is intended for those involved in the transport of gas cylinders using curtain sided vehicles.

The aim of this Technical Bulletin is to give guidance on how equipment which is already in operation and not yet marked shall be made compliant with the new provisions. EIGA recommends tank containers already in operation should be checked if the reference holding time and the initial pressure are already marked according to the format given in ADR. This Technical Bulletin is intended for all personnel involved in the operation of tank containers.

Providing an overview of the major changes to the standard to enable an assessment whether a medical gas pipeline system will be compliant with the new or modified requirements

The objective of this Technical Bulletin is to summarise pressure terminology, and their respective definitions, as referenced in the applicable standards and regulations. The scope of the pressure terminology and definitions for this Technical Bulletin are those contained within regulations and standards that are relevant to Europe. This Technical Bulletin is intended for all those involved in the specification of gas cylinder and their accessories as well as those who design cylinder filling systems.
