This publication explains the historical background of the pressure test methods used during the manufacture of high pressure seamless aluminium alloy and seamless steel cylinders. The publication is based on Technical Information TI 001, Description of the pressure test methods used during cylinder manufacture, prepared by the European Cylinder Makers Association, ECMA.

The purpose of this publication is to provide recommendations and a methodology for the safe design of venting systems for hydrogen installations and equipment located at a customer site. The design of a hydrogen vent system aims at preventing Deflagration to Detonation Transition (DDT) and mitigating the hazards from fires, deflagration and DDT if it occures. The following scenarios are reflected: • deflagration due to the delayed ignition of the explosive hydrogen/air mixture coming out of the vent stack; • thermal radiation generated by the jet fire (the flame coming out of the vent stack); and • DDT inside the vent system due to the acceleration of the combustion of the air/hydrogen mixture that can be present inside the venting system (in the presence of an ignition source). This hazard is relevant if air can enter the venting system.

This publication is an industry-wide guideline for in-service mechanical integrity of PSA units and is intended to contribute to the operational safety and reliability of these units. This publication is not intended to address the details of design and installation of PSA vessels and piping. This publication applies to PSA units with reformer syngas, refinery off-gas, and other hydrogen containing off-gases. This publication is focused on the parts of the PSA that are subjected to pressure cycles, although some consideration is given to the noncyclic portions of the PSA system.

EIGA have conducted analytical tests in order to measure metallic elements, that could be present in medicinal gases. This publication provides the test results, which conclude that impurities measurements are below the detectability levels as well as below ICH Q3D requirements
