This publication contains advice concerning cold-drawn hoop-wrapped and fully wrapped composite cylinders using liners from aluminium alloy 6061 and how they could be impacted by the accidental introduction of tap or rain water on the overall life and safety of these cylinders. The publication is intended for those who are responsible for the specifying of new gas cylinders and those who are involved in their periodic inspection and testing.

This publication describes the specification requirements for liquid carbon dioxide in bulk production tanks or intermediate storage tanks at the gas supplier’s depots, for use in foods and beverages such as an ingredient or additive. The publication has been extensively revised to reflect current practices for the sourcing of carbon dioxide. The publication provides recommendations for good practices and guidance on the key characteristics for the quality and purity of carbon dioxide for use in foods and beverages.

This publication is primarily aimed at those responsible for making the assessments and developing the reports and documentation required for Seveso compliance. An accompanying publication will focus on the ongoing responsibilities of site operators to maintain effective safety management systems and to provide guidance on demonstrating to regulatory authorities that Major Accident (MA) hazards are properly managed."

This publication provides the minimum requirements and the practices for design, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of refrigerated liquefied carbon dioxide (CO2) storage at users’ premises

This publication addresses the operation of the reboilers of air separation plants. It contains a summary of current knowledge and industrial practices used in their safe application. It specifically applies to the main reboiler and oxygen product reboilers in which the oxygen concentration is greater than 75% in the liquid phase. Its guiding principles may be used for other reboilers within air separation plants, including auxiliary vaporizers, guard adsorber vaporizers, argon condensers, and the main reboilers in nitrogen generators. Reboilers that are used in conjunction with krypton/xenon production are typically operated with higher hydrocarbon limits than typical air separation unit (ASU) reboilers. The allowable levels of hydrocarbons as well as additional safeguards for the bath-type reboilers used in these systems are listed in Appendix A.

HyCO facilities are not specifically included because the typical site inventory is not sufficient to be included in Seveso. The legal duties for HyCO sites which do come into scope are in principle the same.

Typical facilities include air separation plants, acetylene production plants, cylinder transfilling plants and/or cylinder re-distribution facilities, where they have sufficient inventory of dangerous substances.
