Working Groups

What are WGs?

EIGA’s Working Groups (WGs) are at the core of our Association’s activities. Based on the combined experience, know-how and skills of the WG members from across the gas industry, they develop publications for our industry.

WGs are created by the Councils, with the approval of EIGA’s Board of Directors, after establishing a scope and terms of reference for their activities.

The WGs are composed of a chairperson and a number of experts (normally 4 to 7) nominated by the participating member companies.   The Councils ensure that EIGA’s member companies and countries are well represented and that the experts are qualified and available for the WG activities.

Currently there are seventeen (18) EIGA WGs.

  • WG-5 – Environment
  • WG-6 – Cryogenic Vessels
  • WG-7 – Medical and Breathing Gases

  • WG-9 – Classification, Labelling and Safety Datasheets
  • WG-10 – Homecare
  • WG-11 – Hydrogen Energy
