TP 055/24 – Transporting Your Gases More Safely – Customers
(Revision of TP 055/17)
Every year many incidents occur during transportation of Dry Ice (solid carbon dioxide) in inappropriate vehicles. Unfortunately, this frequently results in severe incidents. Many of these could have been avoided if basic safety rules had been followed. EIGA has developed a serious of publications aimed at helping customers to transport gases and Dry Ice more safely in "non dedicated" vehicles. This Training Package is intended to be used to raise the awareness of customers calling at retail centres to collect Dry Ice packages. It provides advice on: * What are the hazards of transporting Dry Ice in private cars and vans? * What precautions should you take to be safer? This publication is part of the EIGA Campaign: Safe Transport of Gases or Dry Ice in "Non Dedicated" Vehicles.
