Working Group Award

Working Group Award 2025

EIGA’s technical strength lies in its Working Groups. Around 70 groups bring together experts from member companies to develop guidance, share experience and advance best practice across the industry.
The Working Group Award recognises:

- Quality and relevance of output
- Collaboration and participation
- Delivery against objectives
- Impact on members

This year, the award recognised: Working Group 22 – Regulatory Energy & Climate

WG‑22 stood out for its strong engagement on complex EU policy files, notably ETS and CBAM. The group combined technical depth with strategic focus, engaging actively with the European Commission and helping ensure that the specificities of the industrial gases sector are well understood.
Its work reflects a sustained collective effort - regular exchanges, high-level expertise and close coordination with the Regulatory Environment Council and Public Affairs. It also demonstrates how technical input, when well structured and timely, can influence regulatory outcomes and support a more level playing field for the sector.
WG‑22 is a good example of the collaboration, credibility and impact that underpin EIGA’s work.
