New EIGA Pharmacovigilance Videos Launched to Strengthen Patient Safety Culture

EIGA is proud to launch two new awareness videos designed to strengthen the culture of pharmacovigilance in the medical gases sector. These videos support our mission to ensure that medicinal gases such as oxygen and nitrous oxide continue to be used safely and effectively across healthcare settings.
Video 1 — “What Is It?”
Patient safety, built into every breath.
This first video introduces pharmacovigilance in clear, accessible language. It explains how continuous monitoring, benefit–risk evaluation and close collaboration between manufacturers, healthcare professionals, patients and authorities ensure the safe use of medicinal gases.
Video 2 — “How Can You Contribute?”
See it. Share it. Within 24 hours.
The second video focuses on action. It presents real‑life situations where safety issues may arise and guides all employees—wherever they work—to recognise, collect and communicate essential information quickly, including the requirement to report any adverse event within 24 hours to the pharmacovigilance team.
