As you will see from the number of publications below, this has not been a boring Summer. But now Autumn is coming, so let's get ready:
- EIGA staff is planning for the months ahead: assessing the priorities, preparing the upcoming working group meetings;
- EIGA is preparing for its Winter Summit (29-30 January 2025) and the amazing SOC team is cooking a fantastic programme for you.

EIGA in the European Parliament

The European Energy Forum - a non-profit association which promotes informed decisions for politicians - organised a Briefing on gas molecules for new Members of the European Parliament and their assistants.

Philippe Cornille, Secretary General of EIGA, was amongst the panellists to explain to MEPs the importance of safety in the roll-out of hydrogen.

An opportunity for EIGA to build new connections with decision-makers.

The Future of European Competitiveness

On 9 September 2024, Mario Draghi presented to EC President Ursula Von der Leyen his 400 pages report focusing on "the Future of European Competitiveness".

The report offers a diagnosis of the ills afflicting Europe's economy – ranging from a lack of investment, a shrinking skills base, a failure to adapt to the industrial policies of rivals, and basic shortcomings in the EU's ability to coordinate policy levers and act in a strategic way.
