EIGA NEWS

EIGA hosted the yearly joint meeting of gases & cylinders industries

EIGA WG2 Cylinders & ECMA (European Cylinder Manufacturers Association) met to share information on common interests. Several CEN and ISO cylinder standards were discussed and the activities around ADR transport with papers in the TDG Committees at the United Nations were also reviewed. Both industries have a long lasting and successful relationship and often support each others papers because these serve to further make our industries safe for our customers.

More than 20 experts share their activities and exchange information and positions. In the committee ISO TC 58 Cylinders they find each other again, and together with other global stakeholders , such as test labs and competent authorities, they develop design requirements and best operating practices of cylinders, tubes and bundles for all gases. No wonder this committee is recognised for their expertise by ISO TC 197 Hydrogen Technologies, when it comes to high pressure transport packages.

IOMA

Harmonised publications

EIGA joined IOMA’s (International Oxygen Manufacturer's Association) annual meeting early November.

It is at IOMA’s Global Committee that the American, European, Asian and Japanese Industrial Gases Association report on their international harmonisation work.

The regional associations harmonise publications as much as possible, to have uniform best practices and industry standards at a global scale.
An impressive 75 such harmonised publications are available on EIGA’s website, covering a wide variety of important topics.
Browse these publications and see how they capture the experience from top experts from all around the world.
