Most customers of EIGA members are aware that according to the REACH Regulation, Exposure Scenarios (ES) could be attached to the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) issued by their suppliers.
The majority of the SDSs for gases and gas mixtures do not have attached ES.
Many customers enquire why no ES is attached to the SDS they have received.
This Technical Bulletin outlines the various reasons why no ES is attached to a SDS and should help to answer customer queries.
This Technical Bulletin has been revised in May 2018 to take into account a revised guidance document published by ECHA that clarifies the requirements for flammable gases, such as acetylene.
