"This document covers the requirements for the installation and operation and use of equipment for the cooling and freezing of food using liquid cryogens (liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide).

Whilst much of this document concentrates on food applications much of it is also applicable to non-food cryogenic applications.
  This document is not intended to replace any risk assessment required by the operating company or employer. 

The document provides guidelines on the design, installation, operation and maintenance of chilling and freezing equipment so that they can be operated safely.

The document is intended for any person or organisation that is involved in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of cryogenic food freezing equipment."
